Overwatch League Announces the New York Excelsior
NYXL also reveals full team roster and coaching staff.
The New York franchise of the Overwatch League revealed that their team name will be the New York Excelsior! Meaning “ever upward” in Latin, the New York Excelsior joins the Seoul Dynasty, the Boston Uprising, the Los Angeles Valiant, the Shanghai Dragons, the Dallas Fuel, and the San Francisco Shock as one of the 12 founding teams in the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. The team lineup and staff of the New York Excelsior are as follows:

The Overwatch League is set to begin with the preseason on December 6th in the new Blizzard Arena Los Angeles with a series of exhibition matches. The official season is scheduled to begin next year on January 10th, 2018 with the playoffs and finals set to take place in July 2018.
